Charging & Fob Key Use

We will always try our best to ensure our cars are fully charged however it is your responsibility to check and ensure you have enough charge and range for your booking. If you do require additional charging during your booking please follow the instructions in the glove box of the car. There is also information about charging in our Charging FAQs.

Our cars have a ChargeNet fob key in the glove box which can be used at any ChargeNet charger, and in the boot a Type I or Type II charging cable for fast charging at AC chargers, and a home charger cable for domestic charging.

We recommend you use the ChargeNet map, install the ChargeNet App or use the PlugShare map or the PlugShare App to locate chargers.

Your car's ChargeNet fob key remains the property of GoTo Car Share. You must not:

1) Use the fob key to to charge any car other than the car you are using during your booking.
2) Copy, manipulate or destroy the fob key in any way.

Please ensure that you are familiar with the charging port and cables that you might require before you start your booking. If you would like an induction for a particular car, cable or charger please contact us to arrange a time.
